TRAVELLERS “spit and swore” at onlookers as they forced their way into a park this week.
The convoy of around 20 caravans arrived in Ray Lodge Park off Snakes Lane East in Woodford Green at around 8pm on Tuesday (August 1).
Onlookers claim they got in through an open gate “spitting, swearing, and trying to steal valuables”.

Mr Martin, of Roding Valley, tweeted: "Always nice to be sworn at..spat at..and have people in illegal caravans try to steal your valuables.
"Be careful in woodford, Ray Lodge Park."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed they were called to the site just before 8pm on Tuesday, but no arrests were made.
Redbridge Council, who owns the park near Ray Lodge Primary School, said enforcement officers have given the travellers until today (August 4) to leave the site.
A spokesman said: “The council has started the process of evicting the trespassers and has given them notice they must leave by today.”
The caravans are believed to be the same who were spotted setting up in the sports field behind Low Hall Sainsbury’s in Walthamstow Avenue, Chingford.
