A LARGE fine has been slapped on a flytipper who dumped cardboard two hours from his home.
On April 21, 2017, Gavin James Pye unloaded his Ford Transit van of cardboard and other waste into residents' bins on The Broadway, Loughton.
Epping Forest District Council's environment and neighbourhood team caught up with Pye, who lives 85 miles away in Holland-on-Sea.
He pleaded guilty to a fly-tipping offence at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on February 8.
The Magistrates stated that it was a negligent act and ordered Pye to pay a £231 fine, £500 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
