A festival celebrating one of Leytonstone’s best-loved sons is offering filmmakers the chance to have their productions seen by hundreds of people.
Hitchcock’s Home celebrates the legacy of film director and producer Alfred Hitchcock at a pop-up party in St John The Baptist’s Church in Leytonstone High Road.
This year’s celebrations, in their fourth year running, will take place on July 12 and 13. There will be a series of talks, short films, art exhibitions and tours of the church tower.
To celebrate the talent of people living in the borough, the festival is recruiting people who have produced films on the themes ‘local’, ‘Hitch’ or ‘leading ladies’. Films about anything relating to Hitchcock will also be considered.
The successful filmmakers will have their work shown to up to 900 guests and have the chance to speak about their craft. The deadline for entries is Sunday May 20.
