Can you spare a few hours to volunteer at a night walk where thousands of people will be raising cash to help breast cancer patients?
Community Waltham Forest, the umbrella body for voluntary organisations in the borough, is urging people to donate their time at the MoonWalk London on Saturday, May 12.
Up to 15,000 men and women will don decorated bras and make the overnight journey through Clapham Common either for the full marathon or the half marathon.
The night will be split in to three shifts for volunteers and from handing out water, to arranging the storage of baggage to applying tattoos, there’s a role for everyone.
Organisers promise a fun, rewarding and memorable experience for volunteers at the 21st annual charity walk with the ‘Wild West’ theme.
The event is run by the charity Walk the Walk, the UK’s largest grant-making breast cancer charity. More than £30 million has been raised for Breast Cancer Now to fund research studies.
