A 73-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he crashed into a tree.
The incident happened opposite Chingford station in Station Road at 8am yesterday morning (Monday)
Police believe the driver mounted a kerb, before smashing into a tree.
The man has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" and he is in a critical condition.

The vehicle came to a stop after hitting the tree. No other people are believed to have been involved in the crash.
Police are looking for witnesses and are keen to speak to anyone who may have been at the bus stop outside Mobo bar.
