Sometimes it is only the name that changes.
This photo from 1963, courtesy of Wanstead Historical Society, shows The White Hart pub in Woodford.
Today, the watering hole in High Road, South Woodford, is known as The Gallery.
In the two pictures of Aldersbrook Road looking south across Wanstead Flats, it is the skyline that has changed.
In the photo below, from 2019, the modern skyscrapers in the City and around Canary Wharf are visible on the horizon, while the Flats themselves are much the same.
