A primary school has celebrated in style with a catwalk for World Book Day costumes.
Snaresbrook Primary School in South Woodford held a week-long series of events, including a parade which has been held for the past three years, to allow all pupils from nursery to year six to walk down the makeshift catwalk and show their costumes.
This year popular costumes at the school have included Harry Potter, Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Mary Poppins.
Other events held included a whole book swap where each child brought in £1 and a book and a mini market was set up - all proceeds will be used to create an outdoor library for the children, a visit to an elderly care home where students read poetry to residents and visits from poet Kate Williams and children's author and illustrator Sarah McIntyre.
Foundation stage and key stage one children also participated in a pyjama party after school where they read stories, while key stage two pupils attended a book quiz including pizza.
