Shocking video of a man with a large blade being tasered has emerged.
Metropolitan police were called to High Road in Leytonstone yesterday morning (March 13) to report to reports of a man with a knife.
Officers attended the scene and a Taser was discharged.
The man, aged in his 30s, was subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.
The footage was provided by community organisation You First, a team that is working to tackle knife crime in the area.
Later that day, police were called to attend the scene of the stabbing a 17-year-old boy on Station Road outside Leyton tube station.
The teenager is currently fighting for his life in hospital after he was attacked and stabbed outside on Wednesday lunchtime.
