Several residents came out in support of a dental practise’s annual charity coffee and cake fundraising morning.
Improve Your Smile Dental Practise on High Road, Woodford Green, raised over £1,000 for Stroke Association on Friday, May 3.
Guests tucked into an array of cakes and hot drinks donated by businesses for the charity event with singer Maureen Tarler performing a live music show.
and it was even warm enough for our visitors to sit outside with a hot drink and a slice of delicious cake and listen to live music performed by Maureen Tarler.
Volunteers from the Stroke Association were also on hand to check people’s blood pressure to highlight the link between oral health and strokes.
TOWIE’s Chloe Meadows also attended and drew the raffle alongside Dr Malik and his team.
A statement released by Your Smile Dental Practise said: “Gum disease sufferers are nearly twice as likely to suffer from coronary heart disease too.
“In recent studies, oral infection has been identified as a risk factor for stroke – yet another reason to make sure you look after your teeth and gums.”
“Thanks to the generosity of patients and visitors as well as local businesses who donated cakes and fantastic raffle prizes.”
