Waltham Forest has sworn in a new mayor.
The council gave its thanks to outgoing mayor Cllr Sally Littlejohn and welcomed Cllr Chris Robbins as her replacement for the next year.
Cllr Robbins has represented Grove Green ward since 2002 and announced he will be supporting Parkinson’s UK as his mayoral charity for the year.
Cllr Robbins’ wife Shelley will be his mayoress and his daughters Emma and Victoria will act as consorts.
The new mayor has also announced he has launched the Mayor’s Young Enterprise Fund, which will provide support for entrepreneurs between the ages of 16 and 25.
A council spokesperson said: “Huge thanks to outgoing Mayor Cllr Sally Littlejohn for her fantastic service, as we welcome Cllr Chris Robbins CBE as the new Mayor of Waltham Forest for the next year. The new Mayor will represent the council and raise money for his chosen charities.”
