A teenager was left fighting for his life after a stabbing.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Chingford Road, at the junction with Rowden Road, on Thursday (January 9) at 4.13pm.
Emergency services found an 18-year-old man who had been stabbed at the leg.
He was taken to an east London hospital by ambulance services where he remains in stable condition.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
At this early stage, no arrests have yet been made as detectives from the North East CID investigate.
In the evening, police blocked the Sainsbury's exit at Walthamstow Avenue, leaving people stuck.
Police enquiries continue.
