Swindon Town 1
Leyton Orient 1
(League One)

A LAST-gasp equaliser denied Orient maximum points and a chance to return to the top of the table at the County Ground.

The O's looked to have secured all the spoils, when on 86 minutes Adam Boyd kept his head amid penalty area chaos to slot the ball home on Tuesday.

But Swindon dug deep, and in the fourth minute of time added-on they hoisted a ball into Orient's area and despite the best efforts of Paul Terry, Hasney Aljofree found the net.

The result masked a match where Orient dominated play and created chances.

In the tenth minute Terry just failed to cap a flowing move heading over a cross.

Swindon keeper Peter Brezovan made a sprawling stop soon after to deny Jason Demetriou.

O's stopper Stuart Nelson did not get his kit dirty until the 27th minute, when he stopped a speculative effort from former Orient favourite Craig Easton.

On 41 minutes, Wayne Gray outfought Jerel Ifil to latch onto Adam Chamber's throughball. But the angle was acute and Brezovan made the save.

Orient were denied a spot-kick after Demetriou was floored.

Swindon had the early run of play in the second half, and almost capitalised when a throw from Nelson found Lee Peacock.

The home midfielder found Simon Cox with a cross, but Tamika Mkandawire blocked.

Mkandawire then almost netted at the other end, but was just short of a tempting Demuetriou free-kick.

He also nodded wide on 64 minutes, before Terry just fizzed wide from 20 yards.

Neither side could open a lead until the 86th minute, when Mkandawire headed Daniels' deep cross back into the crowded penalty area and Boyd scored.

But the last kick of the game saw them have to settle for a draw.

Ling said: "Sometime's you don't get what you deserve and in some way it feels like we have been robbed because we dominated throughout."
