THE Bassett Boys made all the running and eventually got the goal their efforts deserved.

This was scored by Ryan Matsaha.

Doddinghurst attacked but a strong defence, in which man of the match Nathan Chittick was outstanding, held out.

Victory was assured when Mitchel Drewe netted Bassett's second goal.

Weald Bassett 1 Great Danes 3 (Chelmsford Youth League KO Cup U10)
ALTHOUGH Weald Bassett dominated and had chances galore to wrap up victory in the the opening half they squandered their opportunities.

They scored just once but Danes netted three times after the break. Bassett's MoM: Wilson.

Boca Youth 1 Buckhurst Hill B 6 (Echo League U11)
A FINE hat-trick for Jessop and a very cool goal from Faubel put Hill up 4-0.

The dribble from the half way line and stunning left footed screamer from Moody was Hill's best goal of the season, followed by his second before Boca pulled one back.

Boca were heavily involved in this match but the drive from Hill and the finishing made the difference.

Waltham Forest Youth 1 Redbridge United 4 (Echo League U8)
UNITED scored four excellent goals, all from long range, although Bradley Goode did an excellent job standing in for regular Forest keeper, Arthur Janata.

Forest appeared unusually lacklustre but they were unfortunate in the first half when a series of shots from Jack Lee, Dimitris James and Dante Mcintosh flashed by the post.

United doubled their score in the second half and James grabbed a deserved consolation goal just before full time.

Langley Mustangs 0 Epping Youth 6 (Harlow Youth League U9)
FIVE goals from inform Burrell and a fantastic free-kick from Green ensured Epping took the spoils.

Holmes, in Epping's goal, had very little to do such was the performance of this young team.

Friend and Afzali at the back were strong and won every tackle and they were well supported by Brittaine, Green and Flanagan in midfield who all tackled tenaciously. Going forward, the passing moves and support play were a joy to watch and Burrell had a field day.

Only some brave saves by the home keeper stopped the score being in double figures.

Interwood 2 Senrab A 1 (Echo Premier League U11)
MYER Chuckwu-Onu continued his fine form by scoring Senrab's goal.

Other good performances for Senrab came from Tommy Buckingham and man of the match Malaki Toussaint.

Island Girls 2 Redbridge Ladies 7 (Essex Girls League U13)
A VERY close first half was followed by a storming display from Redbridge.

At its heart was Ranjit Rai who impressed by dominating in midfield with a superb range of passing and control.

She also managed to help herself to four of the Redbridge goals. The first half was always tight and although Rai broke from midfield and scored with a well-struck left foot drive.

The Island girls kept in the game by hitting home an equaliser. The second half saw Ranjit Rai really link up well with her forwards and she went on to net three more goals. Other Redbridge goalscorers were: Stevens, Lawrence and Williams.

Senrab A 1 Armada 4
SENRAB found themselves 2-0 down early on because of poor defending.

However Oliver Edgar then showed outstanding bravery to score a superb goal and get the hosts back in the game.

Senrab then looked to be getting on top until Armada were gifted a third goal just before half-time.

The second half saw Senrab come into the game more and more, however Armada finished the game off in the last minute with a good fourth goal.

Waltham Abbey 2 Eton Manor (Essex U16 County Cup)
MANOR went a goal up through a disputed penalty but the Abbey boys showed grit and determination to get back on level terms with a Chris Flanagan header.

Abbey then stepped up a gear and deservedly got their winner with a an audacious chip from a free-kick by Jack Marrion,

Westward B 1 Soccer Skills B 7 (Echo League, U9s)
SKILLS played some great football with man of the match Richardson (four) and Attoe (three) scoring the goals.

But this was a tremendous team effort and with greater organisation and inventive football, the away team ran out well deserved winners.

With Parker, Redhead and Hosier continually passing the ball out of defence, Hellen, Richardson and Attoe caused problems for the home side .

The goals came at regular intervals. Although seldom called upon, keepr Lachman did make one brilliant save from a rare home attack.

UPR B 2 Waltham Forest A 0 (Echo League Under 11)
THE first half saw Forest defending and offering little in attack.

Bolton was on top of his game in the Forest goal and the back four of Tibbitts, Cockerill, Campbell-Tavernier and Keavey looked comfortable.

Early in the second half, a mistake by the Forest midfield, gifted UPR the opener. Forest started to offer more in attack.

A foul on the edge of the Forest box in the dying moments of the game gave UPR the chance to double their lead.

Barking Colts 2 Buckhurst Hill 0 (Echo League U10)

Buckhurst Hill 2 Ridgeway Rovers 2 (Ridgeway win on penalties) (Essex U12 County Cup)

Romford Royals 2 Buckhurst Hill 6 (Echo Premier League U13)

Briggs then took a corner, finding Dave Otley who made it 2-0.

Two second-half goals from Drew Barbier and a final goal from Robert Caine wrapped up the match.

Byron A 1 Woodford Youth A 3 (Echo Friendly U7)
BYRON deservedly took the lead but Woodford's half-time team talk did the trick.

A Swan clearance from just inside the Byron half beat two defenders, creeping through the keeper's legs. Solanki and McDiarmid ensured the ball remained in the Byron half.

Thomas kept the pressure up and Parsons and Walters took control of the midfield. The first of man of the match Cannon's two goals was a bicycle kick, the second was another penetrating run with a good finish.

Ferns 0 Woodford Youth B 3 (Echo Friendly U7)
WITHIN minutes, East and Gorgulu had registered their names on the scoresheet for Woodford.

The third goal came from Horgan. Woodford were unlucky not to score more, but Ferns were more unlucky not to have scored at all. For Woodford, Hepworth and Kennedy sparkled with Bibbs and Toussaint popping up everywhere. Mukhtar was lively.

Goalkeeper and man of the match, Mirjah, made without unnecessary pyrotechnics, some brave saves to keep a cleansheet.

Senrab A 1 Woodford Youth A 0 (Echo Friendly U8)
THE Foxes started strongly with Dalby, Houssein and Louis creating openings for Brislen-Hall.

Strong defending from Baffour and man of the match Palmer prevented Rees in goal from having to make a save.

Chances came and went for the Foxes, with Brislen-Hall and Louis running riot, Eva and Dalby also working hard.

Woodford's domination went unrewarded when the home side mounted one last counter attack to score the only goal of the match.

Woodford Youth B 1 Senrab B 1 (Echo Friendly U8)
THE only first-half chance fell to Woodford's man of the match Langsworthy who shot wide.

The second period was played in similar style with the Foxes enjoying the lion's share of possession without testing the Senrab keeper enough.

It was no surprise that a dead ball situation provided the game's opening goal, scored by Hinds. However, Senrab cancelled this out with virtually the last kick of the match.

Redbridge Utd 2 Woodford Youth A 4 (Echo League U9)
SWITCHING man of the match Lea from his defensive duties to centre midfield paid dividends for Woodford when he and Richardson began to out power the Redbridge midfield.

Their hard work led to a Martin goal to level the score after the hosts had taken the lead.

He then fired the Foxes in front before completing his hat-trick. Substitute Hunt, with his first touch, hit the back of the net after winning a one-on-one with the keeper. Redbridge pulled a goal back but the points were Woodford's.

Woodford Youth B 1 Waltham Forest Boys 1 (Echo League U9)

Woodford Youth D 2 Redbridge Utd 1 (Echo League U10)
THE Foxes made a strong start with man of the match Kagona having the first shot on goal following an Edelman corner.

Grafton's dipping shot just cleared the bar and at the other end Orme showed a safe pair of hands.

Woodford's passing game flourished, but half time arrived with honours even.

Redbridge started the second period well but Woodford's hard work was rewarded when Sumithran got the final touch to a Kagona drive. Almost immediately Woodford doubled their advantage through Kagona. A nervous final few minutes ensued when the visitors converted a well-struck free-kick, but Woodford held on.

Colchester 0 Redbridge Ladies 0 (Essex Girls League U12)
REDBRIDGE started with a fluent move but Lyons was offside.

Greenway cleared off the line and Florio made a great stop.

This was an end-to-end thriller and Nugent set Al-Mudallal up only for the home keeper to save.

The visitors took the initiative in the second half with good chances for Cowley.

Rainbird worked several corners well with Edwards, whose run and shot was blocked. Baysal tackled strongly and Mckenna nearly scored after a strong break.

Barking 0 West Ham 4 (Essex Girls League U12)
THE Hammers played well in a goalless first half and had chance after chance.

The second half showed West Ham could play patient football and they got their reward when winger Nicole Hackshaw finished welll.

West Ham continued to press and the Hammers defence of Lauren Beard, Morgan Mitchell and Danielle Sillitoe put in a solid and commanding performance at the back.

Keegan Russell added the Hammers' second goal shortly afterwards and Sophie Miles scored a third after some hard work allowed her to slot the ball home. Leah Wilson finished off the scoring.
