IT was a major blow to be denied maximum points with the very last kick of the game at Swindon especially as a win would have put us back on top.

I felt we controlled the game from the start and perhaps we should have got ourselves in front long before Adam Boyd finally broke the deadlock with four minutes remaining.

Once again we've been punished for not seeing out a game, although it was cruel way to be pegged back in the fourth minute of injury time.

But while we are disappointed not to have followed up Saturday's win over Oldham with another victory, four points from two difficult games is still a very good return.

Having gone down 4-2 at Doncaster the previous weekend it was good to bounce back with a very solid and workman-like performance on Saturday.

I don't think Oldham really forced Stuart Nelson to make a save until the 85th minute. Given the amount of goals we've been conceding lately that is a real positive we can take from these last couple of games because we've looked solid throughout 180 minutes of football. And in the end we were only denied successive cleansheets by a goal in the fourth minute of injury time at Swindon.

As I've said before we needed to get back to where we were at the start of the season, when we just didn't look like conceding because it gives you such a solid foundation to build on. Of course if you don't concede the worst your are going to come away with is a 0-0 and a point, although we certainly have the potential to pinch a goal as well.

Obviously we take a break away form the League on Saturday now and I can't wait for the FA Cup tie at Brisbane Road against Bristol Rovers.

The competition is so special and I don't care if you are a non-legaue, or Premiership player you always want to go as far as you can in the competition.

I know some people say that if you go on a good Cup run it can cause you to take your eye off things in the league, but I don't agree.

Winning any game gives you confidence, and I think Orient proved that point when they benefited from their excellent run in the FA Cup the year they won promotion.
