PEOPLE are being offered the chance to have their say on plans to widen cycle paths and narrow roads at a council meeting on Monday evening.

If they get the go-ahead, the width of Redbridge Lane West at its junction with Eastern Avenue will be reduced and the size of the refuge island on Redbridge Lane West will be widened, to help cyclists crossing the busy main road.

The southern footway on Eastern Avenue will be converted into a shared, or segregated, footway and cyclepath.

Planners are also considering removing the guard-rails at Redbridge roundabout subway and widening the footway links.

Councillors will also look into putting speed cushions along Wanstead Park Road and putting in kerb build outs to stop people parking at junctions.

The meeting takes place at Wanstead Church Scho-ol, starting at 7.15pm, with the public free to attend.
