A knife wielding gang-of-six burgled a home in Roydon last night – throwing an "unknown substance" on one of the occupants.
The men – described as wearing dark tracksuits – broken in the home in Water Lane Roydon at about 2.30am this morning (Thursday, May 28).
The six men forced entry to the property and threatened those inside with knifes and an unknown substance was thrown on one of the men, Essex Police said.
An ambulance attended but no serious injuries were reported.
Detectives believe this might be linked to a crash on the same road last night in which two men were arrested.
Officers remain on the scene and extra patrols will be carried out today in the area.
If you saw a group of men in the area at this time, has CCTV or any information, please call Harlow CID on 101 quoting incident number 84 of Thursday May 28.
