Harlow town centre car parks are no longer free of charge.
Council-owned car parks in the town centre, town park and neighbourhood shopping centres have seen charges reintroduced from today (July 6) following a period of free parking during coronavirus lockdown.
It remains free park for up to one hour in the neighbourhood shopping car parks at Bush Fair, The Stow and Old Harlow and free all day at the weekends and after 5pm
Free parking also remains, for up to one hour, in the car parks in town park, River Way and Burnt Mill Lock; free parking will be available in the car parks for up to two hours at the weekends.
Residents will need to register their free parking period upon arrival at a car park via the app or phone number displayed on signage.
The payment machines will remain covered and to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Payments will need to be made via the MiPermit app, online or via phone or text.
NHS and other healthcare workers will continue to be able to park for free when carrying out their duties in line with current government parking schemes.
In the town centre the council runs the Post Office Road and Wych Elm car parks.
