The aerial view above is of Chingford Green from c1930 where signs of its rural village past can still be seen before infill occurred around the Green.

St Peter & Paul Church, built in 1844 and paid for by Rev Robert Boothby Heathcote who lived at Friday Hill House, stands proudly in the centre.
