ROTARIANS in Chingford have been helping the community and trying to spread some festive cheer in these difficult times.

In spite of not able to hold it their usual weekly meetings because of the coronavirus restrictions, the members of the Rotary Club of Chingford have been continuing to keep in touch with one another by holding virtual meetings every two weeks and supporting some local activities.

Club member Ken Abiodun, as well as carrying out his duties as one of Rotary’s assistant governors for the London area, joined some of the Police Local Safer Neighbourhood Team and councillors Kay Isa and Mitchell Goldie to help the Friends of North Chingford with their litter pick around the North Chingford Area.

The club was also pleased to donate a large number of packets of M&M sweets to the Chingford Eat & Heat Food Bank.

These were distributed with the boxes of food they are providing at this difficult time in the hope the sweets would give a little Christmas treat for the people being helped by the organisation.
