Above is an early photo of the Bull & Crown in Chingford from c1880s that was recently discovered by Chingford Historical Society showing the local brass band taking a break outside the pub. Onlookers from the shop peer out of the doorway.
In 1899 it was decided to rebuild the pub, but the locals insisted that the old Bull should not be demolished until the new building was completed behind it.
The building is Grade II listed and has been a restaurant since 2012.
