The research came as flatshare site SpareRoom shared that rent below £700 has dropped down to just four from its original 43 in 2022.

But now London's cheapest renting postcodes have been revealed, we thought we'd take a look at some of the renting listings that are currently available in the area. 

With most on offer being rooms to rent in a shared household, the listings are perfect for someone wanting to make the move to the Capital.

Not every postcode that was named to have rent under £700 currently has listings, so we've picked out a few of the best on offer.

£650 per month in Chingford E4

For £650 a month you can rent this spacious double room set in a shared property. 

Offering a shared bathroom and kitchen, the property is described as clean and is in close vicinity of bus stops and train links.

The property was first listed on Zoopla in June 2022 for £498 per month (pcm) and recently listed again at the start of 2023 with an increase of £152, seeing the overall rent of £650pcm.

£600 per month in South Norwood

With a deposit of £692, you can rent out a room in this shared house for £600 pcm. 

Set on the ground floor, it's a double bedroom with a communal living space and garden all on offer the rent also covers the cost of bills.
