Station Road, Chingford, c1905.
Only 30 years before this photo was taken, this road, then called Maddox Lane, was just a muddy dirt track leading to open fields.
The bakery premises seen on the left has been serving the customers of North Chingford for more than 140 years.
Sadly the shop closed in February 2023 and faces an uncertain future.
