A donated picture from a Chingford resident shows Sinclair Road at the junction of Hall Lane as it meets the newly built North Circular Viaduct, c1928.
Opposite are the grounds of the Cork Manufacturing Company, Langite Works which started manufacturing in 1922.
They made cricket and hockey balls and later expanded their product range to include bath mats, gaskets and insulation fittings.

The company closed in 1983 to make way for the retail park. The cork tree on the left still survives.
