A man has been barred from atria Watford after being charged in connection with reported shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret.

Watford police officers investigating a report of shoplifting at the business’ Atria shopping centre branch on February 15, this year, located and arrested a suspect on Thursday.

James Anderson, on no fixed address, has been charged with theft from a shop and failure to comply with a Community Protection Notice.

The 37-year-old appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court this morning and was released on bail with conditions including not to enter the atria shopping centre.

His next court appearance is set for September 5.

Just this week, Watford Police on X(formerly Twitter) have confirmed two other separate "shoplifting" arrests as well as a “persistent thief” being arrested and brought to court.

Another “violent” shoplifter who apparently assaulted officers and staff on Saturday (April 13) was also arrested, charged, and remanded to court over "a number of offences" on Sunday.
