A Karen's Diner pop-up is set to come to Romford town centre, giving people the chance to be "roasted" by staff while having a meal.

The interactive diner offers an "absurdly fun experience" where customers are served by rude waiters and "forced" to play a variety of games, according to its website.

Karen's will operate at the premises of bar Jukebox LDN in South Street, Romford, on June 8 and 9 this year, the chain announced.

The name Karen has become a slang term for a self-entitled individual likely to complain.

If your name is Karen you will be eligible for a free drink, provided you bring photo identification, its website added.

"Well, well, Karen's is in town for one weekend only," Karen's Diner posted to Facebook.

"It should only take us 48 hours to insult everyone [in Romford]."

The pop-up, put on by "the OG [original] Karens", will give people in Romford the chance to enjoy burgers and cocktails while wearing an insulting hat.

Customers can complain to the manager if the food is below par, but have been warned about the likely outcome.

"The venue will provide incredible food (so we hope), and we will take care of all the insults," Karen's Diner added.
