The M11 was closed after a three car crash that left one person injured.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to the motorway close to the junction with the North Circular in South Woodford shortly before 12pm today (December 8).
Three cars had been involved in a crash which saw the northbound carriageway shut between junction 4 and junction 5 at Loughton.
Police have said that this closure lasted for about two hours, with traffic released at around 2pm.
One person was hurt in the crash, but a Met spokesperson said that their injuries are “not believed to be life-changing”.
London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the scene.
National Highways said that the crash caused significant travel disruption, including a 2 mile traffic jam.
