Smudge is a gentle, quietly endearing three‑year‑old girl with a soft soul and a story of resilience.

After spending a long-time fending for herself on the streets, she’s still a little wary of sudden movements - but give her a sense of safety, and her true sweetness shines through.

She absolutely loves soft strokes and will happily seek out affection in her own calm, thoughtful way.

She’s not a lap-cat, but she is very much a companion cat: she likes to be near her humans, sharing space and comfort on her own terms.

Over the last few weeks, Smudge has blossomed beautifully.

She’s eating well, playing with growing confidence, and has recently discovered the joy of chasing an infrared light up and down the stairs - it’s become one of her favourite games!

Now that she’s realised she’s allowed upstairs, she has settled in like a dream, confidently claiming her spot on the bed and expecting her person to negotiate for their share of the covers.

Smudge would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build trust and enjoy the gentle affection she adores.

In return, she offers quiet companionship, heart-melting sweetness, and the joy of watching her confidence grow a little more each day.

If you have room in your home (and on your bed!) for a tender-hearted little cat who’s ready for her fresh start, Smudge may be your perfect match.
