Walthamstow Boundary Road shooting - armed police respond

Armed police responded to a shooting in a quiet area of Walthamstow.

Police were called to reports of gunshots on Boundary Road and Westmorland Road in Walthamstow at around 8.20pm yesterday (March 21), reports sister site London Now.

Officers arrived - but the suspects had already fled the scene. There have been no arrests and no reported injuries.

Pictures of the aftermath appear to show bullet casings scattered on the floor next to an abandoned motorbike.

Officers are appealing to the public for information.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At around 20:20hrs on Tuesday, 31 March, police responded to reports of gunshots in Boundary Road and Westmorland Road, Walthamstow.

“Officers and armed response units were on scene shortly after the incident. However, those involved had fled the scene before they arrived.

“No arrests have been made at this stage.

“Any witnesses, or those with information, are urged to contact police via 101, quoting 7454/31MAR. 

“Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
