Ahead of the O's final fixture of the 2025/26 season, majority shareholder David Gandler has penned a letter to supporters, as the club fight to stay in the league.
Orient have been struggling this season and can get relegated if they lose their final game against Burton Albion at home and Exeter City win theirs.
The O’s sit in 20th place in League One, one place above and two pints above Exeter City. They also have the top goal scorer in the league in Dom Ballard, who has scored 22 goals so far.
In his letter, David Gandler said: “I write to you on the eve of our final Sky Bet League One fixture of the 2025/26 season.
This has been a frustrating season for us all and, I’m sure, none more so than for you, our fans. The season has not transpired the way we hoped it would but, for the next few days, my attention is on looking forward, rather than back.
The time to analyse what has happened will follow but, up until Saturday, the club’s sole focus is the fixture against Burton Albion and ensuring that we record a positive result to retain our League One status.
The appetite to come and support Richie’s team on Saturday has been really strong and I ask that all Season Card Holders and fans with match tickets come to the game with a positive mindset.
I hope you appreciate your importance and I thank you for all of the support you have given the team in our 45 league games up until this point. I know some of you will have attended every single one.
Saturday’s task is the players’ but your backing can help to guide them through any spells of adversity. Together, we can be so strong.
The board and I will provide a more thorough review of the season after the weekend. Before then, I wish to reiterate this; please come with energy and positivity on Saturday, be our twelfth man and give the players that extra couple of percent to complete the job in front of them.
Up The O’s.”
