A 78-year-old woman has died after being hit by a van in Leyton
Emergency services were called to the junction of High Road Leyton and Millais Road shortly after 9am on April 23 following reports of a crash between a van and a pedestrian.
London Ambulance Service crews rushed the pedestrian, a 78-year-old woman, to hospital with "serious injuries", our sister title London Now reports.
She later died on April 24, and her family have since been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the car involved, a silver Vauxhall minivan, stopped at the scene but was not left with any injuries.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
The Metropolitan Police are appealing for information and CCTV or dashcam footage.
Detective Sergeant Faye Cook, from the Met's serious collision investigation unit, said: "Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends who are still coming to terms with their loss.
"As we try to build up a full picture of the incident, we are appealing to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it - particularly if they have CCTV or dashcam footage."
