Young creative artists in Redbridge are being invited to apply for a free summer programme of masterclasses and workshops in digital audio and visual arts.
The new Portfolio scheme is open to residents aged 16 to 25 and offers practical training with the chance to build a professional body of work. A public showcase will take place this August at East Bank in Stratford, home to creative institutions such as BBC Music and V&A East.
Portfolio has been shaped by the Colours of Redbridge Future Producers and is designed to help young people explore opportunities in the creative industries. Through a mix of structured masterclasses, hands-on workshops and mentorship, participants will work with industry professionals to develop projects that reflect their ambitions and interests.
The scheme is supported by Mawaan Rizwan and rapper LESiA, known for Rap Game UK. By the end of the programme, participants will have created original work to showcase their abilities while forming connections with mentors and peers.

LESiA, Portfolio ambassador, said: "Portfolio is about opening doors for young people in Redbridge who may not otherwise have access to creative pathways.
"This programme gives them the space, skills and confidence to explore their ideas, work with industry professionals and build something they can be genuinely proud of. We’re excited to see the talent that emerges this summer."
The programme runs throughout July, concluding with the public showcase in late August. Applicants must be available to attend the full series of sessions.
