An Arsenal fan has scored a life-changing Pools win after landing £73,653 from a single £1 bet.
Robert, 67, a season-ticket holder from Chingford, correctly predicted eight score draws on the final weekend of the domestic season to scoop the Classic Pools prize.
The semi-retired painter-decorator has been playing The Pools for more than 40 years.

He said: "I was in absolute shock when I got the phone call – I thought it was a scam at first. I went on The Pools’ website to double check, and there they were, my numbers – it was all real."
Two days later, he was flying out to Budapest for the Champions League final to watch the Arsenal.
He added: "I’m an Arsenal season ticket holder and have been to every game, home and away, for the last three years. This money will help pay for a few European away days too next season – hopefully Mikel Arteta and the boys can go all the way next time and win the Champions League."
He plans to spend some of the winnings on home improvements, including a new kitchen for the flat he bought four years ago.
