More than 200 people have received vital food support from a mobile food bank.
A recent Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank distribution in Waltham Forest provided food parcels to families in need, with support from community partners and the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Marcelo Hart-Camus.
The event took place on July 2 at Lloyd Park Children's Centre, with backing from Morgan Sindall Construction and Aden Contracting Limited.
Around 80 food bags were distributed in person to families, with another 20 set aside for households unable to attend.
Each bag was designed to feed at least two people, meaning the event supported more than 200 residents.
Councillor Hart-Camus said: "I had the privilege to support Lloyd Park Children's Centre working with Tarem Services to deliver food parcels to parents in need that attend their day centre.
"This was generously funded by Morgan Sindall Construction in partnership with Aden Contracting.
"Meeting the parents and their children and briefly hearing about some of their challenges really reminded me of how important it is to protect those who need it most.
"Many awaiting their asylum applications in uncertain housing while also dealing with economic challenges we all face today but heightened by their own life insecurities.
"Being there as Mayor and handing care parcels out was a really important way to show that we have a Council that sees you, supports you and will work to protect you in these difficult times.
"I was so impressed by the dedication of the staff, the care given to each and every person, and the joy the parents felt at being included, heard and cared for."

The Mayor praised the work of the foodbank and called for further support.
Councillor Hart-Camus said: "This is what makes this Borough and this country a wonderful place to live.
"Our commitment and care to each and every person, regardless of faith, immigration status, or language abilities.
"Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank is much more than a distribution centre; it's a lifeline to those in need.
"It was a pleasure to support them, and I hope that many generous donors step forward to support even more of this life-giving work."
The foodbank works with businesses, charities and volunteers to deliver food and essentials to people experiencing financial hardship, including working families, older residents and vulnerable individuals.
Lloyd Park Children's Charity thanked those involved for helping make the event a success.

Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank launched in October 2024 as part of a broader effort to combat food insecurity and in-work poverty.
Since then, the mobile foodbank has supported more than 2,600 residents through distributions across London and beyond.
