Temporary traffic restrictions are set to be enforced in two Waltham Forest roads due to emergency waterworks.
The restrictions, affecting King Edward Road, E17, and Garfield Road, E4, will enable Thames Water to carry out necessary repairs.
The road traffic regulation notice, issued on July 9, allows for roadworks to be completed in King Edward Road between Blenheim Road and the common boundary of numbers 64 and 68.

King Edward Road will see excavation works to repair a defective sewer.
The road will be closed to all motor vehicles, with the order coming into operation on July 14 and expected to last up to three months. However, the council estimates the works to be completed within three weeks.
Garfield Road, between Station Road and Cross Road, will undergo service pipe relay works.
The order for this road will come into effect on July 13 and is expected to last up to six months. The works are estimated to be completed within three months.
Controlled parking spaces in both areas will be suspended for the duration of the works. Traffic will be directed via alternative routes which will be clearly signposted.
The restrictions will not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the works, or those for ambulance, fire brigade, or police purposes, provided the works allow.
Advance warning signage with more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management, and diversion routes will be placed in each affected road.
