Nature-themed scavenger hunts, crafts, and conservation activities are coming to parks.
Waltham Forest is marking Love Parks Week from July 27 to July 31 with a programme of outdoor events and volunteering sessions designed to help people enjoy and care for green spaces across the borough.
The activities, run by The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), include family-friendly events such as arts and crafts, bug hotel building, and nature-themed scavenger hunts.

Abi Townsend, operations leader at TCV, said: "Love Parks Week is a fantastic opportunity for residents to get outside and explore all that the parks in the borough have to offer.
"At TCV, we work with local people to take part everything from wildlife surveys, nature conservation volunteering, to wildlife themed arts and crafts for younger participants."
Ms Townsend also noted the wider benefits of green space engagement, saying: "We also provide guidance on supporting wildlife in the borough and volunteering as a way of improving health and wellbeing.
"There’s something for everyone in Waltham Forest in Love Parks Week so make sure you get involved, enjoy your local green space and support the borough’s wildlife."
Several parks across the borough will host events throughout the week, including Henry Reynolds Gardens, Memorial Park, Ridgeway Park, Abott’s Park, Stoneydown Park, Jubilee Park, and Lloyd Park.
In addition to the events, residents are encouraged to try out the newly refurbished tennis courts at Memorial Park in Chingford.
