SEVENTEEN local organisations will be attending a Community awareness day in North Weald on Sunday.
Two fire engines - from the Essex Fire and Rescue Service and the airfield’s fire and rescue service - are also expected at the event which is at the village hall, High Road, between noon and 4pm.
Bassett Singers will be performing at 2pm, and there will be free refreshments. The event, which gives organisations a chance to publicise their activities, is being held by the parish council and the Royal British Legion.
Parish council chairman Cyril Hawkins said: “I hope as many people as possible will attend and find out what they can do in their parish.”
