BUSINESSES will have the chance to speak out about issues in Epping with the re-launch of a forum.

The Town Centre Partnership had experienced some problems during the past couple of years and had almost come to an end.

But mayor Ben Murphy has been working to bring it back so traders can improve business in the town.

The community forum will give businesses and traders the chance to ask questions, seek advice or guidance, make suggestions and work together to improve the trade in Epping.

Mr Murphy said: "We’ve seen a dramatic change in the make-up of our High Street in recent times and I believe with the introduction of some new business, both big and small, we are getting back on the road to recovery.

“I appreciate that given the difficult economic climate at this time all businesses are having a hard time, which is why it is so important that we all work together and see what help we can give each other."

The next meeting is in the garden lounge at Epping Hall, St John’s Road, at 6pm on Thursday September 11.

Among topics to be covered are plans for a Christmas market, an update on highways improvements and details on the opening of the new Marks and Spencer Simply Food store.

At the last meeting it was decided that the Partnership will be sponsoring the cleaning up of graffiti in Twankhams Alley and other areas of the town.
