A WOMAN has been left homeless following a fire at her Harlow home.
Fire crews were called to the end-of-terrace home in Ladyshot at 4.15am this morning.
The woman, aged about 65, suffered the effects of smoke inhalation.
A fire spokesman said that when crews arrived they reported that 40 per cent of the ground floor of the property was well alight and the building was completely smoke logged.
Fire-fighters spent about 45 minutes dealing with the blaze.
An ambulance was called to help the woman and the Red Cross Victim Support Unit was summoned to help after the fire left her homeless.
