HEAVY snow is causing mass disruption across east London and west Essex today.
Bus services in London are badly affected, trains are at a severely reduced service and many colleges and schools have closed.
Every London underground line is either partly suspended or suffering from major delays.
The Victoria Line is running, but trains are not stopping at Oxford Circus due to overcrowding.
A limited service on the 212 bus route has begun.
WALTHAM FOREST:
Leyton Sixth Form College, Waltham Forest College and Sir George Monoux College have been closed, jams are reported on most main roads.
Leyton Sixth Form college will also be closed tomorrow (Tuesday).
The overground line between Chingford and Liverpool Street is experiencing delays, and has been suspended for short periods throughout this morning.
Tonight's Community Council meeting at Larkswood Primary School has been cancelled.
Rubbish and recycling collections have been suspended for today, as has street sweeping.
REDBRIDGE:
A number of council services and buildings have shut down because of the weather.
The authority is advising vulnerable people not to go outside and to wrap up warm at home.
There are severe traffic delays reported across the borough, especially on the A12 East Avenue.

EPPING FOREST:
Traffic problems across the district are reported.

A spokesman for Transport for London (TfL) said: "A number of bus routes are now operating in to and out of Central London however the majority of services currently remain suspended at this time and will only resume when road conditions allow and it is safe to do so.
"We are endeavouring to increase the number of buses operating throughout the day.
"London Underground will continue to run as many trains as possible though a number of lines are likely to face on-going disruption throughout the remainder of today."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said the force was "maintaining its usual service" across London and that there are no shortages of police staff.
More snow is predicted to fall throughout the day.
