Boss Geraint Williams was disappointed at how Orient started against Huddersfield on Saturday, but delighted with the second half response.

“It was the proverbial game of two halves. We were as poor as I've seen us in the first half. I was very angry” he said afterwards.

Orient fell behind at home to a goal by Andy Booth, in the veteran's last ever game. Dean Morgan levelled in the 64th minute when he tapped home Jimmy Smith's low cross.

On Monday, both players have left the club as part of Geraint Williams clear-out.

“Second half, I was delighted. The players came out and showed the effort that's required, and the attitude, and thoroughly turned the game around. We deserved to get back in it and at least get the point” added Williams.

Orient end the campaign in fourteenth place.

Williams reflected on a tally of nine wins from 14 games since he joined as boss in February, which has guaranteed the club's League One status for next season.

“Nine wins out of 14 games was very good, its not so good across 17 games. I say: never be happy with what you have, look at it and ask: how can I improve upon it.

“If you look at most of our performances, you can be proud of them.

“If you look at results on the pitch, we have mixed it with the big boys, but that's on one-off games.

“At the end of the day, we are where we are, and I think it's a decent finish.”

Huddersfield Town striker, Andy Booth ended his career at Brisbane Road with his 150th goal for the club, over two spells there.

Afterwards, he praised the Orient fans who clapped his achievement.

“It means a lot. Obviously, they've not really seen my career so for them to give me a standing ovation, I can only thank them. It was something special for them to give me the applause they did.”
