POLICE workshops were held for school children to show them how to stay safe.

PCSO's Carley Etherington and Laura Martin visited Coopersale School in Epping and tailored the sessions to each year group.

The reception class listened to a talk about what to do if they become lost and they also had the chance to dress up in police uniform.

While year one, two and three received a talk about the importance of holding hands, stranger danger and how to deal with bullying.

The eldest children learnt about internet safety and how understand the law.

PC Martin said: "The pupils appeared to enjoy the workshops. We tried to deliver information that was relevant for each age group and we hope we have given them confidence on how to deal with difficult situations."
