EVER wondered what you look like when you strut your stuff on the dance floor, especially if you do not have access to a good sized mirror in the house?

(Oh come on don't tell me you have never posed in front of one), well now you have the chance to find out in Sony's fantastic Eye Toy Groove for the PS2.

Simply plug in your Sony EyeToy camera (sold separately), load up the game and within a few minutes you can be "movin and a groovin" to over two-dozen tracks all performed by the original artists.

Mums and Dads can relive their Disco days with the Jackson5, Sister Sledge and Earth, Wind and Fire, whereas the kids will love The ketchup song and boy band Five's (remember them) catchy Keep on Moving.

In fact there are around 25 songs from a wide variety of musical genres so there should be something for everyone even the fan of the cheeky Girls (who also feature).

However followers of punk or thrash metal may be a little disappointed this time round.

The idea of the game is to keep in time with the music by following a series of basic moves whilst posing, swiping and waving various parts of your body.

The more effort you make with your moves the more bonus points you will be awarded.

There is also a fun multiplayer mode where you must "dance off" against your pals and create your own dance patterns to see who is the greatest dancer.

The game also features an on screen calorie counter to indicate how much energy you are burning as you jump around wearing out the carpet.

The accompanying on screen graphics are bright and colourful and interact beautifully with your every move and the music is excellent, as you would expect from a dancing game.

It is very easy to play with all the options selectable by waving your hand over the desired button shown on the screen.

Eye Toy groove is not only loads of fun to play but a great way to burn off a few calories, something that can't be said of the majority of console releases (especially with the recent DVT case that was widely reported).

A perfect way to spend a couple of hours either on your own or with friends and family, but be warned once Mums and Dads have got warmed up and had a few goes you may not be able to get them off the carpet dance floor again.

Hopefully Sony will go on to bring out specialised games to satisfy the musical tastes of Ravers, Rockers and Rappers alike as I'm sure these would be as equally well received.
