A DAILY service between Stansted and the Swiss city of Basle is to be launched by airline easyJet on March 28, with fares from £17.99 each way to the city's Euro Airport.
Stansted will be the only airport in the UK from which easyJet will operate flights to Basle.
This destination will be followed by the Slovenian capital, Ljubjana.
Slovenia joins the enlarged EU on May 1, on the day when easyJet will begin a new daily service to the country which is considered an up and coming destination for both ski and summer breaks.
Fares start from £17.99 each way.
The additions to easyJet's network takes the total number of destinations served by the low-cost airline from Stansted to 25.
BAA Stansted business development manager Geoff Conlon said: "These new destinations are a fantastic boost to the airport and the local travelling public."
