WINNER of the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists, pianist Michael Ierace will join Redbridge-based Meljon Singers on the bill for A Voice From Heaven, at St James’ Church, Piccadilly on Saturday, November 21.

The magical concert will see the Meljon Singers present a programme of gems including Howells’ Requiem and Rheinberger’s Mass in E Flat, while Michael will perform two Preludes from Rachmaninov’s Opus 23 and Debussy’s atmospheric La Cathedrale Engloutie.

Currently studying for his Masters degree in Piano Performance at the Royal College of Music in London, Australian-born Michael has received numerous awards for his outsanding talent, and the Meljon Singers have seen their reputation take them across the UK and to Italy.

Chairman of the Meljon Singers Mandy Bentley, says: “Music, whether created by the interweaving of voice or on an instrument, has the power to soothe, uplift, fortify and sustain, and that’s what unifies this programme.”
