CARE staff at a special school received swine flu jabs as part of the primary care trust's battle against the virus.

NHS Waltham Forest and the council have employed 30 trained pharmacists to adminster jabs to more than 200 frontline social services staff.

And staff at Whitefield School, in Macdonald Road, were the latest to be inoculated.

An NHS Waltham Forest spokesman said: “Protecting those who provide care to vulnerable patients and service users is the best way of ensuring that these staff do not pass flu on to these patients.”
