A JUDGE will decide later today (Friday) whether or not to allow a controversial bar to open until 2am this weekend.
The owners of Funky Mojoes in South Woodford High Road have taken their appeal against the council's decision to reduce the bar's trading hours to 12.30am to the High Court - after magistrates said they did not have the jurisdiction to hear the case.
Solicitor David Dadds, who represents Mojoes' owner Ross Drogman, applied for an injunction against the magistrates' decision - which would have left the bar unable to open past 12.30am this weekend.
If the judge grants the injunction - with a decision due before the end of today - the nightspot will be able to open until 2am as usual.
