Waltham Abbey drama company Acting Up is the biggest recipient gaining £4,880 towards venue hire.
Epping Cricket Club receives £4,810 to help refurbish the kitchen at its clubhouse and district-wide young people's group Youth Plus receive £1,150 to help set up a youth club in Ongar.
Elderly people in the Matching area are also assured of a merry Christmas this year after the Matching Friendly Club received £1,000 to help provide a festive lunch for local people over 60 years old.
The Essex Community Foundation is a county-wide charitable body providing grants towards worthwhile local causes.
