VALENTINE’S Day will not be the only celebration on February 14, as Chinese people all over the world herald in the Year of the Tiger with firecrackers, festive dress, special food and traditional customs.
To mark these colourful festivities, Hong Kong-born storyteller Veronic Need brings her children’s show, Dragons & Monsters; the Stories of Chinese New Year, to Lauderdale House, Highgate, on Sunday, February 7. Learn about the customs, sample the cuisine and hear all about the legend of the monster.
