RICHARD House children's hospice believes it is now making a difference to hundreds of people's lives thanks to the hard work of staff.
The hospice, in Beckton, has published an annual review of its work in 2004. Staff are now caring for 100 children and their families a year and aim to support increasing numbers of youngsters in the coming year.
Staff have warned there will be major funding challenges in the coming months to keep the hospice running and would like to hear from people and organisations who may be able to help raise the expected £2.5 million budget for 2005, 96 per cent of which comes from donations.
Peter Ellis, chief executive, said: "Looking back, it has been an amazing few years, as I now see the size of the organisation we have and the range of services we offer.
"But most importantly, I see the number of children we care for increasing.
"With your help and support we can go forward over the next five years, confident that we are really making a difference to life-limited children."
