A DRIVER filling his car at a Woodford Green petrol station was robbed of his keys by a thief who drove the vehicle off from under his nose.

The 48-year-old man pulled up at the Esso petrol station in Chigwell Road just after 9am on Wednesday, May 10.

After filling his car, a black Toyota Landcruiser, and closing the fuel cap, he locked the car with his remote control. As he turned round to pay he feltsomeone push him from behind and grab the keys from his right hand.

The thief jumped into the car and drove off, turning left into Chigwell Road, and disappearing down Beaumaris Drive.

The thief is around 25 years old, white, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build. The car registration is EA55 RRO.
